I thought I had all my bases covered, but I guess that just isn't possible. He had been to those show grounds several times, but this was a completely new place. I was so focused on all the other "stuff" that I forgot the most basic new thing.Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07335385366138424092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8603946585821420123.post-43720427920360978162012-08-12T12:55:18.336-04:002012-08-12T12:55:18.336-04:00Thanks!Thanks!Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07335385366138424092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8603946585821420123.post-31419691010783232552012-08-12T12:54:56.532-04:002012-08-12T12:54:56.532-04:00:)

I think you hit the nail on the head though, it was probably "everything" - the journey, the weather, being in a strange place, a tense and anxious Mum (?maybe?) plus puddles of immeasurable depth.Martinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14496995504975297110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8603946585821420123.post-30636197429341167392012-08-11T15:50:50.488-04:002012-08-11T15:50:50.488-04:00What a super-successful session! Good for you for using those giant puddles as a schooling opportunity.

Since you know Harley doesn't have an aversion to puddles, you're probably right - it was everything ELSE that was going on at the show. Riding in the driving rain is NEVER fun, combined with a poor warm-up, at a strange place, after a less-than-ideal trailer ride - it's no wonder it wasn't his best show. I'm sure you weren't in a great frame of mind for it either. Chalk it up to "lessons learned," give yourself (and Harley) a better opportunity next time, and I bet Harley will be able to strut his stuff. :)jenjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01737679332792618499noreply@blogger.com
